While the autonomous administration is under attack, in many places, thousands of kilometers away, many women look to Rojava as a piece of themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to the women, the comrades of the movement and of society, who organize themselves every day in democratic confederalism, and who now resist to protect not only a land, but the dignity of life in all its forms, and thanks to jineoloj\u00ee, a science that brings back to light the meaning of freedom for which societies were born, here too, in the geography called Italy, we have had the opportunity to question our paradigms\u2014political, ideological, of interpretation of the present and of history. Thanks to a women’s revolution, that is, a revolution of society and of life, in the face of a system that systematically plans death, we have had the opportunity to see that there is a possibility to reverse this course towards annihilation, when women organize themselves autonomously, when they search within themselves, destroying piece by piece the positivism that wants them as guinea pigs, breeders, or objects of pleasure. In the face of the pervasiveness of capitalist modernity, which like microplastics, can penetrate into cells, women have woven osmotic bonds – free exchanges – making the entire fabric strong and resistant.<\/span><\/p>\n

To the sisters, to whom I am bound by a “universal” bond, in the sense that it pertains to the universe, to intangible and subtle forces, during these nights I have thought so much, looking at the moon and knowing it was the same one seen in Rojava too.<\/span><\/p>\n

Friend moon, you who watch over us, born from sea foam, <\/em><\/p>\n

Your waxing, small wave of light in these harsh nights,<\/em><\/p>\n

Has peered into the abyss of deep time.<\/em><\/p>\n

Of luminous symphonies of plankton and cornflowers blue in the wheat,<\/em><\/p>\n

Of Cambrian encrusted with algae and redstarts punctual each autumn.<\/em><\/p>\n

You know all, you understand all.<\/em><\/p>\n

With the subtle law of what we call nature<\/em><\/p>\n

You have braided the tresses of our sisters<\/em><\/p>\n

– Drum hearts and golden songs –<\/em><\/p>\n

We are one body, hills of light and shadow, harsh and fertile valleys of darkness.<\/em><\/p>\n

Upon our flesh, once more, History leaves its mark.<\/em><\/p>\n

Friend moon, you who hear all and feel all,<\/em><\/p>\n

Vibrate strong beneath the tunics and rifles,<\/em><\/p>\n

Gather the smiles that bloom in days of stone.<\/em><\/p>\n

Whisper them like dust in the wind, quantum dances, songs of dream…<\/em><\/p>\n

As far as Kobane, passing through Gaza, and for all, and for each one.<\/em><\/p>\n

Watch over our sisters who resist one more day,<\/em><\/p>\n
