Twenty-seven years ago, Andrea Wolf, an internationalist revolutionary, was murdered by the Turkish military in the free mountains of Kurdistan. Her journey in search of freedom from the metropolises of Europe laid the foundation for the development of internationalist perspectives, organizations, and struggles that carry the Kurdish freedom struggle to the world.<\/p>\n

From the mountains, Andrea Wolf\/\u015eeh\u00eed Ronah\u00ee wrote letters to her friends in Europe. In these letters, she wrote about her dreams and questions, shared insights from her life in the women’s guerrilla movement, and gave perspectives on internationalist organizing.<\/p>\n

Today, January 15, 2026, Andrea Wolf\/\u015eeh\u00eed Ronah\u00ee would have turned 61.<\/p>\n

We are still driven by the same questions she asked: How to organize internationalism? How to spread the paradigm of democratic modernity to the world ? How to defend the revolution in Kurdistan?<\/p>\n

A week ago, mercenary groups of to the Syrian Transitional Government and the Turkish state launched massive attacks on the self-governed neighborhoods in Aleppo, \u015e\u00eaxmeqs\u00fbd and E\u015frefiy\u00ea. The attacks are particularly targeting civil society and infrastructure, such as hospitals and water supplies. The murderous and torturous methods employed by these jihadist mercenary groups, which are supported rather than stopped by the imperialist powers, are utterly contemptuous of all life.<\/p>\n

The ceasefire, which over the past few months has allowed the strengthening of communes, councils and the organisation of society, is now beginning to crumble, and Rojava\/North and East Syria is again preparing for war.<\/p>\n

In these times of active warfare, when the revolution depends on its defense, Andrea’s words are more relevant than ever:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI wish that there would be movements in the metropolises that would attack this war, make it impossible. Simply cut off the supplies. \u2026 that would be something. A militant movement that paralyzes the war machine.\u201d (\u015eeh\u00eed Ronah\u00ee, May 1, 1997)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It is the same Turkish state that murdered Andrea that is now attacking once again this land, as well as the support of this war stays the same: the European Union just promised to give 620 million dollars to the jihadist transitional government.<\/p>\n

On her 61st birthday, internationalists have reread and responded to her letters. As we follow in her footsteps, we follow her questions, discussions, and dreams, and build upon them.<\/p>\n

The collected letters have been compiled in this booklet and are intended to contribute to the discussions on <\/span>creating<\/span> 21st-century internationalism <\/span>and become the <\/span>\u201c<\/i><\/span>movements in the metropolises that <\/i><\/span>[DO]<\/i><\/span> attack this war.\u201d <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
